1 Do guests need a WaiterPilot account?
No. Guests scan the QR code on their table and order in the phone's browser, with no app, no sign-up and no account, and give no name, phone number or email. WaiterPilot does keep the table's orders and chat so staff can serve them, and one essential cookie keeps the phone connected to its table for up to 30 days.
-
2 Does QR ordering collect phone numbers?
Not with WaiterPilot. Guests order without giving a name, phone number or email, and there is no sign-up. Other QR ordering tools may ask for contact details, for example to open a tab, so check each vendor. WaiterPilot keeps each table's orders and chat so staff can serve it; that data is never sold and builds no guest profiles.

3 Who hosts WaiterPilot guest data?
BroadNet.AI, the company behind WaiterPilot, keeps guest chats and orders to run the service and never sells them. The service providers that help run it are listed on our privacy and data page. We haven't published where the servers are located yet. If that matters for your restaurant, ask us and we will answer in writing.
-
4 How long are guest order details retained?
We haven't published a fixed retention period yet. Today WaiterPilot keeps each table's orders and chat so staff can serve the table and you can see your results; it never sells them or builds guest profiles. If retention matters for your restaurant or local rules, ask us and we will answer in writing before you start.
-
5 Can a restaurant export guest data?
We haven't published a WaiterPilot data export or deletion process yet, so we won't promise one here. Owners can see their own results on the owner page, such as busy hours, top dishes and the language split, but no documented export exists yet. If you need one, ask us and we will answer in writing before you start.

6 How should restaurants explain QR ordering privacy?
Say plainly what happens in one short line on the table card: guests don't download an app, sign up or give a phone number; the restaurant keeps the table's order and chat so staff can serve them, and never sells it. Add that allergies are checked with staff. Don't call WaiterPilot anonymous: a device cookie and the chat are kept.
-
7 What is the difference between anonymous and pseudonymous ordering?
Anonymous means nothing links an order to a person or device; pseudonymous means no name is stored, but a code links records. WaiterPilot is closer to pseudonymous: guests give no name, phone or email, but a cookie keeps a phone connected to its table for up to 30 days, and the table's chat and orders are kept.
