WaiterPilot for your kind of restaurant
WaiterPilot fits any restaurant where guests sit at a table and staff bring the food: guests scan the table's QR code, ask about the menu and order by chat, and your staff confirm and serve. Pick your kind of restaurant below for what changes and the limits. Where guests order at a counter, pay first, or buy from many vendors in one hall, a kiosk, a counter POS or a food-hall system fits better, and we say so.

Where it fits and where something else fits better
WaiterPilot is built for table service. The further a restaurant moves from seated guests and staff who serve them, the weaker the fit.
| Kind of service | Fit | Why | What fits better |
|---|---|---|---|
| Table service: guests sit, staff bring the food | Good fit | Each QR code belongs to a table. Staff confirm each table's first order and serve it; guests call a waiter or ask for the check from their phone and see a live bill. | WaiterPilot, alongside your printed menu and your till |
| Counter or quick service: order and pay at the counter, then collect or leave | Weak fit | WaiterPilot has no takeaway or pickup flow and takes no payment, so it adds a step without removing the queue. | A kiosk or a counter POS |
| Pay-first service | Weak fit | WaiterPilot takes no payment. Guests see a live bill and pay your staff at the end. | A kiosk or an ordering tool that takes payment |
| Food halls with many vendors | Weaker fit | WaiterPilot is set up around one restaurant's menu, tables and staff, and priced per location. If each vendor is its own location, the fees add up, and food-hall guests usually order at counters. | A food-hall ordering system built for many vendors and one payment |
| Room service and in-room dining | Not offered | WaiterPilot works at restaurant tables, hotel restaurants included. It has no room-service flow and does not charge meals to a room. | Your hotel's in-room dining system |
| Any service where every order must print or land in the POS | Weaker fit | WaiterPilot has no POS or printer connection. Staff work from its screens and ring up sales on your till. | Ordering built into your POS (compare the options) |
What stays the same in every kind of restaurant?
The way orders, allergies, languages and price work doesn't change with the room.
- Staff keep control of new tables. The first order at each table waits for a staff confirm; after that, new orders from that table go straight to the kitchen screen until staff close the table. See how it works.
- People cook and serve. WaiterPilot takes the menu questions and the ordering so servers can spend their time with guests. It doesn't replace them.
- Staff decide on allergies. The chat gives what your menu says and asks the guest to confirm with staff, who have the final word. See allergies and dietary questions.
- Guests chat in their own language. Tested in English, Arabic (several dialects) and Spanish, and it answers most other languages too. Screen buttons are in English or Arabic; dish names show as written on your menu.
- Nothing to install or buy. Guests use their phones with no app and no sign-up; staff use phones or tablets you already have. Your printed menu stays on the table.
- One price for every kind of restaurant. 30 days free, then $200 per location per month or $2,000 per year. Setup, QR cards and training are free; 0% commission; no contract.
Questions about fit
Does WaiterPilot work in any kind of restaurant?
It works in any restaurant with tables, hotel restaurants included. It fits less well where guests order at a counter, pay first, or buy from many vendors in one hall.
Is the price different for a café or a bar?
No. The same as any location: 30 days free, then $200 per location per month or $2,000 per year, with free setup, 0% commission and no contract. See pricing.
Can I use it for takeaway too?
It's built for guests at tables, and each QR code belongs to a table. Keep your counter, or another tool, for takeaway and pickup.
Does it work for room service?
No. It works at the tables of a hotel's restaurant, not for in-room dining. See hotel restaurants.
Does it connect to my POS?
No. There is no POS or printer connection, so agree who rings up table orders on your till. See works with your POS.
My kind of restaurant isn't listed. How do I tell if it fits?
Ask two questions: do guests sit at a table and get served by staff, and can you do without payment and a POS link in the ordering tool? If both answers are yes, try a sample order and read the buyer's checklist.
