The product

What is WaiterPilot?

An AI waiter for restaurants, made by BroadNet.AI. Guests scan the QR code on their table, ask about your menu and order by chat on their own phone. Orders go to your staff board, and your team makes and serves the food. More in what an AI waiter is.

Is an AI waiter a robot?

No. WaiterPilot is software the guest uses on their own phone, after scanning the QR code on the table. Nothing drives around your dining room, and there is no hardware to buy. See what an AI waiter is.

Do guests need an app or an account?

No. The menu opens in the phone's browser. There's no app to install, no sign-up and no account. See QR table ordering.

Does WaiterPilot take payment?

No. Guests see a live bill with tax and any service charge or gratuity you set, and can split it evenly or see just their own share, then pay the way they pay today, on your own terminal or till. See waiter call and bill.

Does it connect to my POS or kitchen printer?

No. It works alongside your POS, not inside it, and staff enter the sale in your till. See works with your POS.

How is it different from a QR menu or POS order-and-pay?

A QR menu only shows the menu. POS order-and-pay is a tap-to-order cart inside a POS, usually with payment on the phone. WaiterPilot takes the order by conversation, in the guest's language, with no POS link and no payment. See compare.

Does it suggest extras or make checks bigger?

It asks about the choices a dish needs, such as the side or how it's cooked. After a guest adds a dish, it may ask once whether they'd like anything with it, the way a good waiter would. We don't claim it raises the check. Here is what the research says about check size.

What do I see as the owner?

Reports on your own restaurant: today against the same day last week, busy hours, top dishes, what guests asked for that isn't on your menu, questions it couldn't answer, and how fast your team confirms orders and answers calls. See how it works.

Does it replace my printed menu or my servers?

No. It works alongside your printed menu. Your staff still make and serve the food; WaiterPilot takes orders and requests so servers can look after guests.

Ordering and service

How fast does an order reach the staff?

Within seconds. In our tests on 15 October 2026, four confirmed orders reached the staff board in 0.8 to 2.7 seconds. The first order at a table then waits for a staff member to confirm it.

Can a guest cancel an order?

Yes, while it is still Awaiting staff. After staff confirm it, the guest calls a waiter; staff can mark a dish Out of stock, which takes it off the bill.

How do guests call a waiter or ask for the check?

From buttons on their phone, or by asking in the chat. The request appears on the floor screen within seconds, and a check request says whether they'll pay by cash or card. Staff tap Ack. See waiter call and bill.

What if nobody confirms an order?

It stays Awaiting staff and changes colour on the board at 1, 5 and 10 minutes, so it is hard to miss. Name one person to confirm first orders each shift.

Can I hide prices or give the AI waiter a name?

Yes to both. You can hide prices from guests, and give your AI waiter a name and a house style. The style changes tone only, never your menu or prices.

What happens if the internet goes down?

WaiterPilot runs in the browser, so guests and staff need a connection. Fall back to the printed menu and take orders as you do today until it's back.

Languages

Which languages can guests order in?

Guests chat in their own language. We have tested English, Arabic (several dialects) and Spanish, and it answers most other languages too. For Arabic you choose the dialect: Jordanian, Lebanese, Egyptian, Gulf, Saudi or Modern Standard Arabic. See multilingual ordering.

Are the buttons on the guest screen translated too?

No. The buttons are in English or Arabic. Only the chat follows the guest's language.

Will my staff see orders in the guest's language?

Tickets show dishes and options by their names on your menu. Notes, such as "no onions", go on the ticket as the request was taken, not translated.

Staff and kitchen

Who checks an order before the kitchen sees it?

Your staff. The first order at each table shows as Awaiting staff until someone confirms it; then it moves to In kitchen. Later orders from that table can go straight to the kitchen. See how it works.

What screens do staff use?

A main board with every ticket by status (Awaiting staff, In kitchen, Served), a kitchen screen with dishes, options and notes but no prices, and a floor screen for waiter calls and check requests. They run on phones or tablets you already have. Staff can also move a party, add a dish for a table and close a table.

What if a dish sells out?

The owner or manager marks it sold out from their phone and WaiterPilot stops offering it right away. Staff can also reject an order that is still awaiting confirmation, or mark a dish already in the kitchen Out of stock, which takes it off the guest's bill.

Can WaiterPilot answer allergy questions?

It gives what your menu says and asks the guest to confirm with your staff. When the menu doesn't say, it tells the guest to ask a member of staff. Your team always has the final word on allergies. It doesn't alert staff by itself, so agree that any allergy mention means a person goes to the table. See allergies and dietary questions.

Price and contract

How much does WaiterPilot cost?

The first 30 days are free. After that it is $200 per location per month, or $2,000 per location per year paid annually. Each location is priced on its own, and no tax is added. See pricing.

Do you take a commission on orders?

No. Commission on your orders is 0%, always.

Is there a contract?

No contract. Restaurants use the service under a separate service agreement; ask for it before you start.

How do I compare WaiterPilot with other vendors?

Ask every vendor the same twelve questions in our buyer's checklist, which gives WaiterPilot's own answers too, including where they are no. The compare pages cover Toast, Square, MENU TIGER and Ordder.

Data and privacy

Where is guest data kept?

BroadNet.AI keeps guest chats and orders to run the service. We never sell guest data or build guest profiles. See privacy and data.

Do guests give their name or phone number?

No. Guests don't sign up or give a name, phone number or email to order. We keep each table's chat and orders so your staff can serve them. Anything a guest writes in the chat, such as a name in a note, can reach your staff.

Does WaiterPilot handle card details?

No. It takes no payment, so there is no card step in WaiterPilot. Guests pay on your own terminal.

How long is guest data kept?

We haven't published a retention period yet, nor a data processing agreement or security certifications. Ask us and we'll answer for your restaurant.

Setup

How long does setup take?

Most restaurants are live within two weeks of the first call. The time goes into loading and checking your menu, QR cards and staff training. See the onboarding checklist.

What hardware do I need?

None to buy. Guests use their own phones and your staff use phones or tablets you already have.

What is included in setup?

Loading your menu (send it as a PDF or photos; we load it and you check it before going live), QR cards for your tables and staff training, all free.

Does it work for hotel restaurants?

Yes. WaiterPilot works in any restaurant with tables, including hotel restaurants. It is built for ordering at the table, not room service, so ask us about your case.

Can I see it before I talk to sales?

Yes. Try a sample order in your browser. It's a simulation, so no real order is placed.

Do you have customer reviews or case studies?

Not published yet. We won't publish any without the restaurant's permission, dates and method. Judge WaiterPilot on a sample order, a demo on your own menu and the 30 free days.
